LASHES SERVICES

  • Clean your lashes
Remove all eye makeup, oils, and false eyelashes. This allows the treatment solution to adhere better to your lashes.
    Avoid curling your lashes
Don't curl your natural lashes for at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow for an easy appointment.
    Avoid caffeine
Avoid caffeine within a few hours of your appointment. Caffeine can cause your eyes to flutter, which can make the application process more difficult.
    Shower before your appointment
Shower before your appointment so you don't have to afterwards. The lash adhesive takes 24-48 hours to dry, so you shouldn't get your lashes wet during that time.
    Dress comfortably
You'll be lying down for an extended period of time, so it's important to wear comfortable clothing.
    Bring headphones
If you want to listen to music during your appointment, bring your own headphones and a music device.

  • While wearing makeup is possible, it’s recommended to use oil-free products and avoid mascara. Clean lashes with the EBL Refresher Cleanser and the Essential Lash Wand maintain the longevity of your extensions.

  • Lash extensions typically last for several weeks, with the need for fills every 2 - 3 weeks to maintain your look desired. Lashes are made to make your routine easier, not harder. The aftercare entails keeping the lashes clean daily, brushing them regularly, avoid makeup near the eye area, avoid picking and pulling off the extensions, and beware of extreme heat.

  • Extensions should not damage natural lashes if properly applied and maintained. Avoid rubbing, pulling, or picking at your lash extensions as this can lead to your natural lash falling out prematurely and cause breakage.

  • By case-by-case scenario, the Evolve beauty Line team offers patch tests of our lash adhesive to see whether of not you are allergic. It is NOT because Latex is in the adhesive, but the DNA compounds are very similar to the main ingredient in most lash adhesives which is cynoacolate

  • A patch test for eyelash extensions is a procedure that determines if a client is allergic to the products used in the eyelash extension application. A small amount of the product is applied to 5-10 lashes on each eye and left on for 24–48 hours. If not reaction is to occur then you can proceed in booking a full set

  • It’s best to have a professional remove them to avoid damaging your natural lashes. A remover is applied to dissolve the adhesive safely keeping the natural lashes intact.

  • The main difference between the two is how they enhance your lashes. Exertions plays a big part on customizing length, density, and curl to fit your wants and needs, while a lash lift uses a chemical process to curl and perm your natural lashes to make them look longer and brighter without the need of a lash crimper.

  • A lash lift is a beauty treatment designed to curl and lift your natural lashes from root to tip, giving them a fuller and more defined look. Unlike traditional eyelash curlers, a lash lift uses a curling rod and a special lifting solution to reshape your lashes, making them appear longer and more voluminous.

  • A lash lift typically lasts between 4 - 6 weeks depending on your natural lash growth cycle. The aftercare within the first 24hrs entails, avoiding water around the eye area to allow the process to lock in its curl, beware of rubbing your eyes, as we as makeup around the eye area specifically mascara as well when time to take off the curl can loosen. After the 24hrs a lash lift gives you the freedom to do all of limitations previously mentioned but one which is avoiding lash curlers as the natural lashes are already curled and can potentially damage the lashes

BROW SERVICES

  • Brow lamination is a beauty treatment that involves straightening and setting the brow hairs in a specific direction to create a fuller, more defined look. The process involves applying a chemical solution to the brows, which is then neutralized to set the hairs in place. Same as a lash lift this process lasts around 4-6 weeks depending on your hair cycle.

  • Brow lamination may be suitable for anyone looking to achieve a fuller, more defined brow shape.

It can be especially beneficial for people with unruly or sparse eyebrows, as it can help to tame and shape the hairs. It can be a good option for those with naturally curly or wavy brows, as the treatment can help to straighten the hairs and create a more polished look.

  • Brow lamination is a safe treatment that can give you naturally fuller-looking eyebrows after just one treatment. It is not recommended to repeat the process sooner than 4 weeks, but it is completely safe, and highly recommended, to book a subsequent treatment after 6 weeks.

  • The best thing about brow laminations is that it’s customizable to each client and tailored to their needs. The key to a natural look with brow lamination is subtlety, so it enhances your features without looking too out of place. It can give the brows a polished, tidy appearance without looking overdone. Or for more of a dramatic style, where the hairs are placed to appear more fluffy for a more trendy look. Make sure to communicate with your brow technician for the style you are desiring.

  • Brow Tint: A brow tint is a semi-permanent dye that colours the brow hairs and skin underneath for a fuller look. It typically lasts 1 to 2 weeks and is great for those looking for a subtle, natural tint to their brows. It’s designed to enhance your brow shape and colour, and is ideal for people with lighter brow hairs who want to make them appear darker and more defined.

Brow Stain: Brow stain is a more long-lasting option that tints both the brow hairs and the skin underneath. It typically lasts up to 3 days or even longer, depending on your skin type and care routine. Brow stain gives a more intense, defined look and is perfect for those who want long-lasting colour without the need for daily application.

SUGARING SERVICES

  • is a hair removal method that uses a paste of sugar, lemon, and water to remove hair from the root. The ingredients are heated to a sticky consistency, applied to the skin, and then removed in the direction of hair growth.Sugar waxing is a good alternative for people who are sensitive to cosmetic hair wax. It's also biodegradable and can be used on any part of the body.

  • If this is your first time sugaring and you have been previously using a razor, your first treatment will be the most uncomfortable.  Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. This is because sugaring does NOT adhere to live skin and it is removed in the direction of hair growth. Sugaring weakens the hair root making it easier to remove the hair with each treatment. By your third sugaring treatment, you too will find it virtually pain free!  The great thing about sugaring is that the more you do it, the less it hurts because the hair grows back thinner and less dense.  Less hair = less pain. If you have a low pain tolerance, you may take an ibuprofen 30-60 minutes before your appointment.

  • 1/4″ – that’s about the length of a grain of rice. Depending on how fast your hair grows,  usually 10-12 days after your last shave. If longer than ½ inch, trimming before your appointment can make your sugaring session more comfortable. As the sugar paste is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth.

  • There are a few basic things you can do to reduce and get rid of ingrown hairs. First and foremost, exfoliate! Using a natural dry bristle body brush, exfoliating cloth or scrub, you’ll keep dead skin cells from trapping new hair growth under your skin. The second step is to keep your skin healthy and moisturized. A good rule of thumb is, whenever your skin gets wet (after every shower or bath) moisturize to keep your skin hydrated. At Evolve Beauty Line we offer a line of products to keep your skin healthy, smooth and blemish free.

  • Unfortunately no.  If you are currently using Retin-A or any other topical cream for acne on your face or body we would not be able to sugar anywhere near the treated area. However other areas not treated can be sugared. If you are on Accutane or have been on Accutane in the last 6 months we cannot have sugaring done. This can cause SEVERE lifting of the skin that could damage and scar the skin because the medication thins the skin from a deeper level.

  • It is important to time your appointments.  Regular extraction at an 1/8″ (this length is typically at the baby hair phase) leads to permanent hair loss. When hair is extracted at that length it pulls some of the follicle wall out with it each time. Each consecutive sugaring treatment results in an easier removal of the root, as the newly growing hair begins higher in the follicle—closer to the surface of the skin. Since the hair is actively growing, you will immediately see results —thinner, finer hair growth and eventually, lack of the production of new hair growth.  The follicle will eventually collapse and stop producing new hair growth which will lead to permanent hair loss.

MICROBLADING

  • Microblading is a procedure categorized under permanent makeup, but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent and typically lasts 1-3 years. The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each 'hair' is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural or desired brow colour and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.

  • The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and colour will appear very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The colour will fade by up to 40% as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the microbladed area. The eyebrows will lighten up in color as it heals and the true colour will reveal itself. No down time is required after microblading procedure.  It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the colour to fully set in.

  • The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none.  Prior to the procedure your brow technician will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure.  Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.

After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal.  Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn, and will dissipate during the healing process.

  • In order to achieve the best results, it is best to follow the pre and post care instructions.

Prior to your procedure, clients are advised of the following:

    • Avoid alcohol, coffee/tea, aspirin/ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 24-48 hours.

    • Avoid tanning so we can assess your natural skin tone.

    • No face scrubs or chemical peels at least two weeks prior.

    • Feel free to come in with their brow makeup on so our technician can see your every day look you prefer. Reference pictures of shapes and colours of brows are always welcomed. We will then work together to create the perfect brows!

After your procedure, clients MUST follow these instructions:

    • For the next 3 days and 3 times a day take a dry cotton pad and gently pat (not rub) the microbladed brow area to remove any protruding lymphatic liquids (clear yellowish fluid) from the open tissue to keep as dry as possible during the healing process.

    • Do not immerse brow area in water for 14 days. When showering, make sure to avoid face area. When cleaning or washing face, make sure to avoid brows and clean around it.

    • Do not put makeup on the brow area for a minimum of 10 days. Microbladed area is an open wound, using makeup may cause infections.

    • Avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 24 hours.

    • Brow area will feel slightly itchy as it heals and will start to lightly scab over. Do not peel or pick at the scabs as this can affect the outcome and pigmentation.

    • Avoid swimming, tanning or into saunas for at least 14 days.

    • No face scrubs or chemical peels at least 2 weeks after.

  • Microblading is not suitable for the following candidates:

    • Using Accutane

    • Have heart conditions or using heart medications

    • Have diabetes (will require a physician's note)

    • Have skin disease or irritations

    • Have had Botox in the last 2 weeks

    • Have gotten a deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks

    • Allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine

    • Anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a physician's note.

    • Pregnant or nursing clients who want to microblade can be done at your own discretion. We suggest discussing with your doctor first.

  • Yes! A touch up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled.  Pigment colour may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the colour for the whole year!
